Chris Parr is the Vice President of Science and Technology for Imerys Refractories, Abrasives and Construction materials.  
He has authored and co-authored over 120 technical and scientific papers in the field of refractory raw materials including calcium aluminates and their applications.
He serves as  the current  chairman of the F.I.R.E (Federation for international refractory research and education (www.fire-refractory.org)
